How easy is it to install Paint Protection Film?

Should I have the entire vehicle filmed with PPF or only part of it?
Full car is best for total protection and uniform gloss. The minimum is high-risk areas: bumper, hood, fenders, and side mirrors.
If I choose to have only part of the car fitted with PPF, will the colour look different when the film is removed?
No. CYS TPU film is UV-protective and transparent. It preserves the original paint perfectly. Any small color difference over time is due to the sun fading the unprotected paint.
Are there different types of Paint Protection Films? What are they?
Yes, based on material:
PVC: First generation. Hardens, yellows, risks paint damage. (CYS avoids this.)
TPH: Enhanced PVC. Inferior durability and healing.
TPU: The best. Used by CYS for superior elasticity, self-healing, and longevity.
What is Self-Healing PPF?
It’s the core feature of CYS TPU film. Minor scratches and swirls disappear when exposed to heat (like warm water or sunlight), keeping the film flawless.
What are the differences between Instant-Healing and Self-Healing PPF?
They are essentially the same TPU technology. “Instant” simply implies the film is highly sensitive, needing minimal heat to fix minor marks. CYS PPF offers this advanced, rapid healing.
Is there an ideal time to get cars protected with PPF?
Immediately after purchase. This locks in the factory-perfect condition before any damage occurs.
How do I know the installer is a reputable one?
They must be CYS Certified, use computer-cut patterns (no knives on paint), and provide a manufacturer-backed warranty (5-10 years).
Should the vehicle be waxed prior to Profilm installation?
Absolutely not. Wax, sealant, or coating will interfere with the adhesive bond, causing the film to lift or bubble later.
What’s the difference between PPF, Car Wrapping, and Ceramic Coating?
PPF: Thick, physical shield for impact protection.
Car Wrap: Thin vinyl for color change.
Ceramic Coating: Liquid for gloss and easy cleaning. Zero impact protection.
Is PPF better than ceramic coating?

Can the vehicle be driven immediately after PPF is installed?

Can I take my car through a pressure wash if it has PPF on it?

How soon after installation can I clean my vehicle?

Can PPF be waxed?

How do I remove Paint Protection Film from my car?
